The journey to Eureka Springs went very well, we did stay in Waco a day longer than planned due to storms and arrived in Eureka Springs Tuesday 29th.

We will be moving on the 26th April into Eureka Springs Arkansas. This is about 900 miles north and we will drive through Texas, into Oklahoma and then swing into Arkansas. Eureka Springs is close to the border with Missouri.

We thought we were done with RV repairs when we left Livingston. Alas, that was not the case. Our kitchen faucet developed a leak and then the toilet did the same. We decided to replace all the faucets and shower head as well as the toilet because they are all the same age and probably ready to fail too.
Then, when I washed the roof I noticed lots of black where it should have all been white. We had our friendly repairman take a look and low and behold, we needed a new roof too. Fortunately, he was able to do it right here in the park and now we should not have any problems with the roof for the rest of the time we own this RV.

Visited Corpus Christi on Friday and stayed over in a motel. The actual visit was to go Square Dancing and to have a look further a field around Texas.

I kept the speed down to between below 50mph and felt comfortable driving at this speed.
About 10 miles out I discovered a truck stop filling station and I decided to fill up with diesel, I knew it only needed topping up and it’s best to do it at a truck stop as space is plentiful. This one even had scales so after filling up we decided to have the truck and rig weighed. I was very pleasantly pleased to see that we were under our limit and seemed to be well balanced, seems my many years of caravaning in England and Australia has paid off.
