The town of Eureka Springs is fascinating. It’s a small town built into hills with many original buildings and homes restored to their original beauty.

The 2nd day we were here, are wonderfully helpful neighbors asked if we would like to go with them to mail a package in Beaver, which is a tiny town about 5 miles away.
There has been lots of rain this year in this area and they also wanted to see if the bridge that crosses the White River in Beaver was still under water.

Auntie Jeanne said she would like to hear stories from me so here I am, typing with one paw as best I can.
Most of the time I like being at Opera a lot. I don’t have to be on a lead here and I can go everywhere except for the kitchen and cafeteria. I can’t go there because there is some silly rule about animals in places where food is prepared.

The first couple of weeks here we were wondering why we were doing what we were doing! We arrived early to help clean and get ready for the students. In my wildest dreams I could never have imagined what it would be like cleaning facilities that had not been used for the last 9 months, especially in a country, wooded area. Not only had the facilities not been used for months, we are firmly convinced that no one has really cleaned for years.
