The last day and morning in Panama were a mad scramble, as one would expect. Everyone who paid deposits on furniture finally picked up their items and we were left with an empty house and sleeping on the floor for the last night.

We thought we had lots of space in our final suitcase but that turned out to be wrong! A number of items didn’t make the final cut and had to be left behind. As it was, our carryon bags were stuffed to the gills. I even ended up carrying Robert’s sandals in my shoulder bag because I couldn’t fit them in the suitcase.

We had arranged for a van to pick us up and he arrived right on schedule. He already knew Sammy was coming so that was no problem. At least that part of the trip went smoothly with no hitches.

Robert found a fabulous fare on the internet where we could fly first class for only $30 each more than coach would cost. In first class, we were allowed 3 bags each instead of 2 and they could each weigh 70 lbs instead of 50 so in reality it cost us less to fly first class than it would have to fly coach.

We couldn’t find anyone to move the RV out of storage for us Tuesday evening so we stayed in a motel. All-in-all that was probably better anyway as we needed a quiet restful evening and night.

Wednesday morning a man here in the park moved the RV to it’s new location and we began to settle in. The lot we’re on has a little slope and we weren’t prepared for that so for now, we have a definite list to one side. We’ll take care of that soon.
